91国产自拍hair and beauty apprentices get invaluable industry support

Published: 25 Jun 2020

Leading hairdressing and beauty industry groups complemented the 91国产自拍's (CIT) teaching and learning resources ensuring apprentices enhanced their skills during COVID-19 disruptions.

The Australian Hairdressing Council (AHC) initiated a collaboration with industry members through which 91国产自拍Hairdressing and Beauty Therapy Department, as an RTO Select Member, was provided with access to a dedicated online resource library and education hub.

"Apprentices are normally required to pay for access to the AHC's online tutorials but they will remain open to our students, at no cost, until September," said Teresa LoPilato, Head of 91国产自拍Department Hairdressing and Beauty Therapy.

Second Year Apprentice Lauren Swintek said, "The online training modules and quizzes provided the theory and concepts that I need to learn to work with clients." 91国产自拍has commenced a gradual return to campus and Lauren is glad to be back as she prefers the ability to learn hands-on in the simulated training environment on campus.

Hairdressing and Beauty Therapy Teacher Jane Clark said, "The resources of the AHC and leading industry partner Pivot Point kept students inspired and enhancing their skills whilst in isolation." She added, "The employers were flexible allowing students to continue learning and providing workplace training."

Hair and cosmetic research company De Lorenzo also shared its colouring online tutorials with CIT.  Attempting to maintain a sense of normalcy, 91国产自拍teachers scheduled webinars at the regularly scheduled class time. Jane explained, "The webinars put a different spin on the theory where we discussed with the students the technical aspects of the tutorials they watched."

The robust learning opportunities hair and personal care companies provided to 91国产自拍apprentices is invaluable to continue to respond to the future needs of the industry.
