This course is designed for individuals seeking to enhance their ability in preparation for study or work. The course provides a unit of study that focuses on developing the following key competency:

Learning strategies; to face the challenges of employment or progression in the workplace, including developing achievable work-related learning goals.
By the end of the course, students will have the confidence and skills necessary to develop a plan that will assist them to navigate through today's rapidly changing workplace environment.

Duration:

 The duration of this course is 8 weeks or 36 hours with additional online learning or part time equivalent.

The total course cost may vary depending on the choice of elective subjects or if subjects are attempted more than once. Subject costs identified as Standard are partially subsidised by the ACT Government. Concessions may be available to eligible students.

Additional Information

Delivery for this course is blended; face to face and online.
This course of learning includes optional non-accredited study in Computing Basics or Resume and Interview skills.

Entry Requirements

To meet the inherent requirements of this course students will need to be at exit level ACSF 2 with the aim and ability to progress to ACSF level 3 throughout the course of study.
Potential student might be asked to attend an assessment interview to ensure the suitability of the course for the student鈥檚 needs.

Literacy Skills Information

We suggest that you will need Australian Core Skills Framework levels of at least 2 across reading, writing, learning, oral communication and, depending on your course of study, numeracy skills to successfully complete this course. If you do not have this level, you can still enrol and seek support to improve your skills or you may prefer to begin with a lower level course, or enrol in the Certificate II in Skills for Work and Vocational Pathways (FSK20119) to develop your literacy skills.
